Assembly and first use takes just 3 steps: 1. Insert the refill into the case and press down until you hear a click. 2. Remove the protective cover, then twist the base upward to expose just enough balm for one application. 3. Avoid extending the balm further than needed for each application — over-twisting may cause it to detach from the spindle.
